Administrative Support Specialist

Essential Functions:
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Director of Business and Auxiliary Services with the day to day office operations as well as maintain the University's insurance portfolio as the University's Risk Management Specialist. Responsible for maintaining the Director's calendar. preparing correspondences, coordinating travel arrangements, researching specific issues, prepare power point presentations, database management, coordinate and create agendas for various meetings, review and prioritize the Director's e-mail for quick distributions, provide compilation of data work with the webmaster to maintain and develop content and design of Business and Auxiliary Services' webpages. Other duties include serving as a back up to the Ticket Office, Mail Center and Eagle Card during peak times as well as on an as needed basis.

Responsible for entering requisitions into Banner, maintaining office supplies, processing personnel forms and performing other tasks such as scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks and assisting with keeping track of employees' leave records.

Minimum Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must have knowledge of budget and office management; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of assessing and evaluating programs; knowledge of writing reports; independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills, excellent editing skills, great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.

Salary and Benefits:
$25,381 - $44,147
