Position Description
Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Advisement of fraternity and sorority council leadership and chapter leadership in the Fraternity & Sorority Life Office.
  • Supervise and assist in the coordination of recruitment activities for the Interfraternity Council (IFC).
  • Assist with the marketing and promotions of Fraternity & Sorority Life to prospective and current students, includes printed materials, special events, websites, and social media.
  • Respond to crisis and conduct concerns impacting the Fraternity & Sorority Life community in coordination with Student Resolution Center, Office of Student Conduct, and Dean of Students.
  • Maintain fiscal oversight of program budgets and utilize appropriate procurement and contracting practices.
  • Provide monthly and regular reporting on council and chapter initiatives as part of the overall Fraternity & Sorority Life efforts.
  • Create and provide opportunities for recognition of student leaders and chapters in fraternity and sorority life.
  • Provide assessment for programs and student learning outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and to gather stakeholder feedback.
  • Supervision of graduate and/or student assistant staff supporting the functions of Fraternity & Sorority Life.
  • Responsible for program development, planning, and implementation for Fraternity & Sorority Life. Examples include risk management trainings, recognition events, and other special events.
  • Assist with the creation of prevention strategies and partnerships for the long-term improvement of the Fraternity & Sorority Life community in areas such as new member experiences, leadership development, and responsible social events.
  • Provide regular and ongoing communications to regional and national headquarter and volunteer staff of the various chapters, including communications with consultants on chapter operations. Create and sustain partnerships to assist in the development of a positive Fraternity & Sorority Life community and to support the University Strategic Plan.
  • Participate on University Committees as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree in student personnel/student affairs or related fields is preferred. Three to five years of experience and active involvement with Fraternity & Sorority organizations on a college campus is preferred. Experience working with students in crisis and knowledge of other areas of student affairs including fraternity and sorority life. Experience with/or knowledge of Maxient software.
