The Kanbar Institute's Undergraduate Department of Film & Television at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts is searching for two full-time Assistant Arts Professors in Directing and Scriptwriting to begin in September 2022.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have proven and significant experience as a screenwriter of film or television and/or director of narrative fiction film and television and/or documentary. Evidence of teaching experience or ability at the university level is preferred, as well as demonstrated experience in a creative/collaborative environment.

Duties include teaching 5 courses per year, mentoring undergraduate students, and participating in departmental and/or school-wide committees and events. Ongoing professional work is encouraged and expected. The Kanbar Institute's Undergraduate Department of Film & Televisionat NYU's Tisch School of the Artsis seekinga full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cinematography to begin in September 2022.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a professional resume as a Director of Photography on feature films, television, TV commercials and/or streaming content. Proven effective university-level teaching is desired. Candidates must have an ability to teach 16mm, 35 mm film cameras and fullhigh definitiondigital movie cameras, as well as the various techniques of studio and location lighting, camera movement, and on-set protocol. The candidate will be required to teach at all levels of the curriculum.
