TThe WPI department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a Tenure Track position at the level of assistant professor, to begin in Fall 2017. The broad focus is in those areas of mathematics that are aligned with the existing research groups in the department with particular emphasis on Analysis and Calculus of Variations with applications to Materials Science, Cryptography, Financial Mathematics, and Statistics. Exceptional candidates in other fields are also encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant is expected to lead a high quality research program and contribute to the teaching mission of the department both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, or in a related area. Teaching and postdoctoral research experience is preferred. Salary, benefits and start-up funding are competitive and commensurate with research experience and accomplishments.
