Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Recruitment is responsible for meeting targeted growth goals by representing and marketing Lamar University to prospective students through supervision of assigned staff and managing an individual caseload. The Associate Director directs the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of student recruitment and yield activities. This position is expected to formulate, affect, interpret or implement management policies or operating practices.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
3 to 5 years of progressive recruitment/admission and/or higher education experience required
Ability to travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours including some weekends and evenings
Management and Leadership experience preferred
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, particularly in matters relative to sensitive or confidential student records, personnel or organizational matters
Ability to effectively lead and manage a team
Ability to effectively communicate across all levels through strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be a self-starter
Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate university programs and offerings to prospective students
