COVID-19 Screeners Part time 949711

Job Summary / Basic Function
Job Summary: This position will be dedicated to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community during the national emergency. The selected candidates will greet and initiate the proper COVID-19 symptom screening according to Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and Lamar Institute of Technologies protocol. It is a part time position.

Major Essential Job Functions:
1. Greet employees, visitors, students, etc.
2. Ensure that each individual entering an LIT facility is wearing a mask.
3. Administer COVID-19 pre-screening questionnaire (ask about possible COVID-19 symptoms and previous exposure to a confirm case).
4. Check all population (employees, visitors, students, contractors, vendors, etc.) temperature prior to entry into an LIT building.
5. Instruct those individuals with temperature of 100.04 degrees or higher to self-quarantine, self-monitor and contact their instructor or supervisor if not allowed on campus.
6. Deny entry into LIT buildings if qualifications are not met.
7. Per supervisor direction, identify and refer individuals to alternate resource if not eligible to enter facility.
8. Monitor hallways or indoor gathering areas and ask students, employees or visitors to move outside.
9. Monitor social distancing inside buildings and elevators.
10. Help with placement of screening, etc. signs around campus.
11. Depending on schedule, some early mornings or Saturdays needed.

1. Ability to maintain confidential information.
2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
3. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Ability to work as a team member.
5. Excellent customer service skills.
6. Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Ability to articulate LITs Mission and Strategic Goals while demonstrating a commitment to participatory governance, consensus building, and a team approach to management.
Effective communication skills that foster a collegial, collaborative working environment.
