Position Description
Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Coordinate the collection, integration, and formatting of all data required for PEIMS submission according to PEIMS Data Standards and student Attendance Accounting Handbook. Verify data submitted to TEA and submit corrections in a timely manner.
  • Work cooperatively with campus, business office, and personnel office staff to collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data in a timely manner. Attend all regional PEIMS workshops and disseminate information to appropriate staff.
  • Establish reporting requirements and timelines for campus staff and district Technology Department and the staff of other University departments.
  • Coordinate auditing of District PEIMS data against campus records and generate reports on findings. Run reports, and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information. Distribute edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis and verification.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all physical computerized reports, records, and other documents as required by TEA and local Board policy. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, Sate Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
  • Qualified applicants for this position will be subject a pre-employment Texas Tech University background check, and in addition, a Texas Education Agency criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by the Texas Legislature for independent school districts.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus five years progressively responsible related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases and database concepts, and presentation computer programs. Proficient typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance skills. Ability to meet established deadlines. Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform job requirements with limited supervision. Ability to conduct hands-on training sessions for individuals and small groups. Ability to compile and process data from various databases.
  • Knowledge and understanding of TEA PEIMS requirements.
  • Previous experience managing PEIMS reporting.
