The Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work invites applications for two twelve month non-tenure track positions in the title of Clinical Assistant Professor. Both positions will be located in Chicago, Illinois.

We seek applicants whose primary teaching responsibilities will be in our new Bilingual (Spanish) On-line MSW program. This program launches in the fall 2018 semester and is the first of its kind in the mainland United States. Non-tenure track faculty teach a total of 8 courses throughout the 12 month academic year with the expectation that at least half of the courses taught by faculty in these positions will be in the online program. The successful candidate should be able to teach across at least two curricular domains (HBSE, practice, policy, and research) with preference given to candidates who can teach in more than two curricular areas.

One of the two positions will also serve as the Coordinator of the Online Program. This entails providing general oversight and management of the Bilingual MSW Online program, insuring academic integrity and leadership around enhancing course content for the program as well as integration of the program within the institution and the School's other functional areas. A reduced teaching load will be negotiated for the person in this position.

Candidates must have teaching experience, preferably in an online, interactive environment and appropriate for the University's requirements. A Master's degree in Social Work or in a closely related discipline and a Ph.D. in Social Work (or related discipline) or a DSW is required. Preference will be given to candidates' who have practice experience. In addition, applicants must be Bilingual and fluent in Spanish. Final candidates will be required to show proof of such fluency in Spanish through the All Modes Performance Assessment (AAPPL) of the American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages before being brought to campus for interviews.
