Job Summary
The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Clinical Subjects Associate. The Clinical Subjects Associate's primary duties include acting as an entry level coordinator for clinical studies in inflammatory bowel disease. Will report to the Clinical Research Program Manager and work in conjunction with other existing Clinical Research/Subjects Coordinators.

Responsibilities*
Assisting the clinical team coodinator lead with observational studies, gathering data from Careweb, prescreening and consenting patients, scheduling appointments, inputting and managing data into Clinical Research Forms.

Responsible for filing and maintaining various clinical research documents, coordinating and maintaining verbal and written correspondence with external parties including IRB, and collecting and maintaining a freezer repository of serum samples.

Required Qualifications*
Graduation from high school is required. Previous clinical trials experience, at a minimum 6 months, is required. Essential to be proficient in computer programs including word processing and spreadsheets. Must possess good communication skills. Must be organized, attentive to detail, motivated to learn, and capable of functioning independently. PEERRS qualification required.

Desired Qualifications*
Knowledge of regulatory requirements is desirable. Knowledge of University of Michigan IRB application process, previous interaction with Michigan Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) team and clinical trials office highly desirable.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
