Position Summary:

Are you knowledgeable and passionate about a skill or topic? Does teaching come naturally to you and do you enjoy imparting your knowledge and experience to others? The Continuing Education Departments of the Seattle College District are always looking for new instructors to share their passion and talent with our students. The Continuing Education program is geared to the adult learner, offering both business and personal enrichment classes. The course are not offered for credit, meaning no tests, no grades. Students take classes based on personal choice, not to meet academic requirements.

Therefore, we want energetic individuals who can create a fun and inviting learning environment for adult learners. We look for passionate, knowledgeable, organized and articulate instructors; you need not have a teaching degree, but experience teaching adults is preferred.

To apply to teach in one or all of the Continuing Education program in the Seattle College District, please complete the supplemental application form. The form provides us more information about the specific class topic you would like to teach.

Continuing education faculty are different from other contracted faculty. Work schedule, compensation, and benefits will vary.
