College/Department Information
The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine, and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary
Provides Administrative Support to the Assistant Dean for Academic Advising and the Academic Advisors. To serve as a liaison between the students and the tutors. Direct the tutoring program.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Work with office of Student Affairs to send out leave of absence (LOA) paperwork. Keep a running list of students who are out on LOA. Send out academic performance letters, score reports, and other documentation as needed. Work with the Assistant dean for Academic advising to track student performance on academic assessments. Help identify at risk learners and manage learning specialist referrals. Develop processes to recruit and retain tutors. Manage MCG tutoring program. Respond to student request for tutors and coordinate the tutoring program. Keep track of tutor hours and data. Respond to students quickly regarding tutoring request. Prepare travel requests and make travel arrangements for Assistant Dean for Academic Advising for recruitment professional conferences. Complete and submit travel expense reports and all other travel-related paperwork to appropriate AU accounts payable personnel. Advise Assistant Dean for Academic Advising of AU travel guidelines, procedures, and/or policy changes impacting the Office of Student and Multicultural Affairs. Provide administrative support to the weekly Academic Advising meetings. Keep advising box folder up to date with relevant curriculum information. Keep track of and disperse vouchers for practice exams. Pull weekly data from the curriculum box for advisors to review as needed. Schedule presenters for the weekly advising meetings. Assist in onboarding new advisors to the programs and tools used by the academic advising team. Coordinate room arrangements and food for meetings with students and faculty. Provide administrative support for the learning Specialist. Receive visitors, tutors and tutees, faculty, staff and students. Perform routine office procedures such as answering the phone, replenish office supplies, keeping timesheets, photocopying, and faxing. Provide information to students, advisors, and faculty about Academic Advising. Assist other AU Campus offices with scheduling meetings with the Assistant Dean for Academic Advising. Assist with MSPE letters. Provide additional support and assistance with Student Affairs events including but not limited to orientation, White Coat, Match Day, and Hooding.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education or related field. Four years of related experience. Basic knowledge of curricular design and basic research skills.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days Mon-Fri *Work outside of normal business hours may be required.*
Pay Grade: 15
Salary Minimum: $38,913- $52,533 Annually.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
