Job Description
Truckee Meadows Community College is recruiting for a Custodial Worker 1 position. This position is responsible for sweeping, mopping, and buffing all hard floor surfaces; vacuuming, extraction, and carpet care; dusting entrances and stairwells; cleaning restrooms and surrounding areas; maintaining supplies and other duties as needed. Snow removal may occasionally occur.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and six months of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment.

Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, some positions in this series have been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in these positions must submit to pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

A valid Class C Nevada driver's license or higher operator's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Thursday 4:00pm - 1:00am and Friday 3:00pm - 12:00am. This is subject to change based on organizational needs.

Compensation Grade
21

Entry rate for new hire is $13.16.

Shift differential dependent on hours worked.
