Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. This is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2019 with the possibility of renewal on an annual basis if program needs exist.

Under the supervision of the Chief of Operations for University Advancement, the Executive Assistant provides executive level support to the office of the Vice President, assists with Board Relations and event coordination. The position performs and oversees a vast array of administrative functions and maintains a high level of customer service. Organizes, prepares and prioritizes communications and scheduling of the Vice President. Works with the President's office calendaring staff to schedule a wide variety of Advancement related meetings and events for the Presidents attendance. Assists the Chief of Operations with the Foundation Board of Governors board relations. In collaboration with the Operations Manager for University Advancement, assists with budget tracking. Responsible for procurement card, travel authorizations and claims for the Office of the Vice President. Other duties as assigned.




Essential Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent and five years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to independently interpret and apply policies and procedures and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist. Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area. Ability to understand problems from a broad perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas. Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions. Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference. Ability to effectively write and present own reports. Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels including highly sensitive interpersonal situations. Ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve results and expedite projects.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Special Working Conditions:
Occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. Must be available to work Commencement Event.
