THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT THE OAK CREEK CAMPUS
There are currently 2 open positions;
WORK HOURS
8:30am - 1:00pm . Monday through Thursday
AND
10:00am - 1:30pm . Monday through Thursday
This is a part-time position whose hours coincide with academic school calendar
Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Food Services, this individual will perform food service duties to include service and kitchen areas, involving cashiering, food set up, preparation, and distribution.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Duties listed may vary in terms of relative importance, and others may be added or eliminated as this position develops. Duties with a circle (
- Operate cash register and perform related cash handling duties on a regular basis.
- Assists and takes direction in preparing food for cooking, to include pizza prep and other basic duties.
- Cooking basic food items using equipment such as fryers and oven.
- Adhere to safe food handling and sanitation guidelines as defined by local, state and federal regulations.
- Relays orders and messages as required.
- Clean dishes, trays, pots, pans and other cooking and eating utensils.
- Clean tables and food service areas.
- Performs related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Requires a high school graduation or G.E.D. equivalency and one year of experience in commercial or institutional food service and/or one year of banquet experience; or any equivalent combination of training, knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that demonstrate these competencies:
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform single arithmetic computations.
- Knowledge of personal hygiene and sanitation standards and the ability to maintain these standards.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with employees and customers at all levels.
- Ability to walk long distances.
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
