Position Summary
St. Anthony Catholic High School (SACHS) is seeking a Head Girl's Basketball Coach for the season beginning fall 2022. This part-time position is responsible for every aspect of the Girl's Basketball Program and reports to the Athletic Director. The Head Girl's Basketball Coach coaches with St. Anthony's Core Values of: Honesty & Integrity, Service & Social Justice, Community, Scholarship, & Holistic Education.

St. Anthony Catholic High School prepares young men and women for positions of responsibility and leadership through a college preparatory curriculum based on Catholic values and traditions.

This position is considered a "Responsible Employee" under Title IX federal regulations and "Mandatory Reporter" under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about Title IX violations. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Essential Functions

Job Duties

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge to teach individual sport skills as well as team concepts and strategies;
Effectively work with athletes with varied personality types;
Effective communicator to athletes, parents, coaching staff, administration, and the greater community;
Ability to communicate effectively with parents;
Demonstrates the ability to teach fundamental skills and situational decision-making skills;
Professional dress and appearance appropriate for coaching in game and practice situations;
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Required Education
High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Required Work Experience
Five (5) years high school basketball experience or five (5) years of AAU (u16 or higher) coaching experience. Note that collegiate playing experience may substitute for high school coaching on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree;
Playing experience on a varsity high school team or college level.

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations

Must have a CDL or obtain CDL prior to September 30, 2022;
Insurable by UIWs insurance carrier.

Work Hours
Typical for PT coach in this sport, to include evenings and weekends as appropriate.

Physical Demands
Typical for coach in this sport.
