Hotel Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage
The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Hotel Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage.

Provide shift coverage and leadership - with a primary focus concentrated in the Food and Beverage department. Plans, organizes, controls, evaluates and manages the shift operations of the breakfast, lunch, dinner and in room dining service on premises of the Morris Inn. Responsible for establishing and maintaining guidelines, policies and systems consistent with a Four Diamond level of service in all food and beverage operations. Works in conjunction with other departments as needed to ensure that all guest dining expectations are anticipated and exceeded.
Supervises restaurant and in room dining service in a manner designed to meet Morris Inn standards and exceed guest expectations, while assuring the highest standard of appearance and cleanliness of the dining rooms. Supports service staff and provides feedback, coaching, and accountability for performance.
Inspects restaurant staff to ensure appearance and grooming standards are being met at all times.
Ensures correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment and fixtures in dining room areas. Reports maintenance deficiencies and concerns.
Schedules and assigns personnel based on changing needs of a la carte services.
Assumes responsibility of Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.
Serve both Guests and fellow Employees following Four Diamond service expectations.
Follow work direction and perform tasks efficiently, accurately, and on a timely basis.
Preserve the confidentiality and security of Guest information and belongings.
Work as part of a team as well as work alone with limited direct supervision.
Speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and communicate effectively.
Engage in friendly, polite conversation. Exercise good judgment and solve problems.
Maintain emotional control and persevere in stressful situations.
Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance to standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred. Strong computer skills required including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must be able to learn EBMS and Simphony POS systems (Restaurant and event specific software). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must present professional image as this position will have high guest contact. This position requires strong organizational skills.
