The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Identity & Access Management (IAM) Associate (Two Year Limited Term).

Campus Technology Services division of the Office of Information Technologies is currently seeking a new team member to maintain IAM solutions in support of many new services over the next two years. As part of Campus Technology Services, the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Associate is responsible for the implementation and support of highly available, robust IAM services. Our ideal candidate has prior experience working with IAM architectures, solutions, technologies, and standards developed in, and for, the research and education community: InCommon, Shibboleth, Grouper, eduPerson, ORCID, CIFER, TIER, Kuali Rice, Internet2 NET+, REFEDS.

Responsibilities
  • Use modern open source tools to maintain IAM solutions in Amazon Web Services environments
  • Integrate locally developed, open source, and cloud-based services with single sign-on infrastructure including LDAP, Active Directory, CAS, and Shibboleth/SAML
  • Partner with campus service providers to develop formal and informal workflows to request, review, and remove access

What You'll Do
  • Maintain custom web applications to support identity management processes
  • Manage your workload, balancing improvements with production issues
  • Work closely with developers and sysadmins on other teams
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our critical systems
This is a limited term 2 year position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications
  • 1 2 years experience in a technical field
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent practical judgment. You should know how to effectively allocate your time when solving hard problems.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with AWS suite of services (EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch)
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization technologies (LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos, RADIUS, CAS, Shibboleth, Duo Security MFA)
  • Familiarity with basic networking and related concepts including subnetting, load balancing, firewalls, and DNS
