    Purpose of Position
    To design, develop, and implement online coursework jointly with University instructors. Primary tasks include consultation and pedagogical support to instructors, develop and manage multimedia (images, audio, video), and serve on multiple committees in support of Extended University. Will work under supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position is currently 60 percent remote (three days remote/ two days on campus).

    Essential Functions
    Work jointly with University instructors to develop online course content: identifying a balance between the subject matter, pedagogical best practices, and technology requirements.

    Provides practical and theoretical advice to instructors for purposes of design, production, management, and assessment of instruction.

    Designs and implements assessment instruments for evaluating the efficacy of online and hybrid courses.

    Advise instructors on the following online course content: accessibility, engagement, and assessment.

    Plan and deliver online training to faculty and staff, which includes workshops, certificates, and research discussions.

    Assist in the design of multimedia course material, using graphic design software.

    Promote Universal Design and comply with the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.

    Ensure timely completion and delivery of instructional design projects, and capable of handling multiple tasks.

    Research in latest instructional theories, online best practices, and emerging technologies.

    Collaborates with staff associates to design and develop instructional tools, objects and experiences.

    Provide exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, and Extended University external partners.

    Commitment to teamwork and flexibility.

    Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite, HTML and CSS web design languages, and ability to learn and use institutional software systems.

    Complies with all State and University policies.

    Required Qualifications
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sufficient working knowledge of the following programming languages: PHP, Joomla, MySQL, HTML 5, CSS. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Minimum Education required: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
    Minimum Experience required: Two years of related experience instructional consulting, working within the online learning environment, and production of instructional objects and activities in both technological and non-technological environments. Proficient in graphic design production. Familiar with Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard and/or Canvas. Knowledge of HTML andCSS web design languages.
