The College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics at Eastern Washington University invites applications for a Lecturer position in the Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry to begin September 16, 2019. The department of Chemistry/Biochemistry offers BA and BS degrees in Chemistry/Biochemistry, as well as a BAE degree for Chemistry Teachers.


Responsibilities include teaching General Chemistry laboratory sections, including lab preparation and ensuring laboratory safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Chemistry;



  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching general chemistry labs;

    • Potential will be assessed by reviewing experience, training, relevant coursework, and/or industry experience





  • Demonstrated high degree of interest, ability and/or experience with a diverse student population (age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language, and academic preparation)




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry



  • Experience as general laboratory instructor
