Job Description:
This is a temporary, full-time, benefit-based position with an assignment end date of June 23, 2019.
The Marketing Associate works with the Communications and Marketing and Manager to uncover and develop valuable opportunities to promote the Kroc School's programs and initiatives. Support the successful design and implementation of marketing best practices to engage the target audience. Conduct research, maintain data, and measure marketing and communication strategies. Hire, train, schedule and supervise multiple student employees that support maintenance of CRM database and digital assets. Supervision received: works under and receives general supervision from the Communications and Marketing Manager. Supervision exercised: close supervision of multiple student employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


Support the development and implementation of digital outreach, including email, online advertising and social media.
Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to implement digital strategy in email campaigns, online ads and social media to engage audiences including prospective, admitted and enrolled students, donors and other constituents.
Create and deliver approved content via social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). Work with Development and Advancement Services to coordinate and regularly update distribution lists.
Explore and experiment with new social media, blog and other platforms to effectively broaden reach and increase engagement with desired audiences.
Track social reach and reputation using Facebook, Google and other analytic tools.
Assemble and organize relevant information and contribute to drafting reports that analyze trends and traffic against benchmarks.

Maintain content consistency and relevance, and serve as administrator for Kroc School assets online and offline.
Work with all units of the Kroc School in maintaining consistency and branding in all materials by reviewing web pages, newsletters, emails, videos, etc.
Support the Communications and Marketing Manager with ideation and maintenance of online content (blog, news, events, etc.) and offline content (magazine, brochures, etc.).
Assist in the planning and coordination of photo and video shoots. Develop shot sheet, arrange photographer, subjects, locations, etc. Draft budget and obtain approvals.
Follow-up to ensure photo/video output is edited to meet standards, and upload to WebDam archive, website, YouTube, and other USD video distribution platforms accordingly.
Assist in the design, coordination of production of print and collateral materials including schedule, vendors, quotes, and draft budgets for approval.
Manage and maintain digital asset database (WebDam) and Kroc School's other online video and photo accounts (YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, etc.).
Support users with design tasks including composition, editing, resizing, etc.

Lead and maintain data research that is relevant for the development and tracking of marketing strategies and the implementation of programs
Serve as administrator and specialist for the School's CRM database. Maintain data integrity and clean, accurate records of customers and supporters in the School's databases. Perform function directly, through supervision of student workers, and by monitoring all Kroc School users. Monitor utilization of CRM database by all units.
Maintain up-to-date email lists throughout various platforms including Salesforce, Advance, MailChimp.
Use Salesforce to develop reports for user dashboards. Work with users to analyze and support accurate data tracking, retrieval and reporting.
Assist with the development and implementation of surveys and other data gathering tools to obtain information relevant to the development and measurement of strategies.
Track recruitment, enrollment, and email marketing performance and other initiatives pertaining to the School's strategic priorities.
Assemble and organize relevant information, and draft reports that analyze results.
Train users and troubleshoot user problems.
Liaise with School's CRM and Web support teams on maintenance and transition of data.

Help design, administer, and provide external event review process and provide marketing support for approved events.
Provide support to event organizers to develop marketing and outreach plans to engage target audience.
Review event print and collateral materials to ensure conformity with USD/Kroc School branding standards. Support the promotion of events through social media, web, calendars, e-newsletters and other communications directly or through event champions.
Serve as SalesForce event administrator to ensure all events are branded appropriately and specifically for events with tickets sales to ensure USD Compliance Standards are met.
Coordinate promotion of Dean's events as assigned.

Provide general administrative support for Communications and Marketing.
Hire, train and supervise student employees that support maintenance of social media, web content, CRM database and digital photography.
Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum and Preferred
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
2-3 years of experience in marketing, development and/or event coordination.
2 years of experience using or managing CRM databases including, but not limited to, data entry, creating query parameters, producing reports, mail merges, training users and troubleshooting.
1 year of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience in the professional use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and online advertising platforms.
Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) or G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Adobe Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or related design software, Cascade Server or other content management systems.
Demonstrated experience independently managing complex projects.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, including the ability to prioritize competing projects under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
Knowledge of AP style.

Salary: $20.70 - $25.88 per hour; Excellent Benefits.
