The Operations Manager for EWU Running Start (RS) and College in the High School (CiHS) is a vital member of our team. The Operations Manager works in conjunction with the Director to maintain consistency and integrity of the Running Start and College in the High School programs. The Operations Manager provides administrative supervision and day to day oversight of the RS Advisor/Recruiters and operational support for the RS and CiHS program team. This position includes managing the day to day operations of the department, academic advising, developing program efficiencies, data and report generation, student and high school recruitment, event planning and managing RS staff and student employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)

  • Five years' full time work experience in one or more of the following areas within an academic work environment: recruiting, advising, and/or other relevant experience in an administrative capacity; or other closely related experience

  • Computer skills including skills in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Available for day and overnight travel

  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (any field)

  • Experience working in the K-12 education system

  • Networking experience with both university personnel and community partners

  • Knowledge of policies and procedures involved in the recruiting, advising, and registration of students at an institution of higher education

  • Experience using Banner 9, Jasper reporting, MailChimp, Google Docs, graphic design software, and/or Hobson Radius

  • Experience in use of very large, complex, multi-dimensional information systems; for example: campus server systems, student information systems, financial records system

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
