Teach a variety of courses in the subject area. Courses in the subject area are; Your Living Body, Med/Dosage Calculation and Medical Terminology.

Classes could be at the Palm Desert Campus or one of our sites in Indio, Mecca/Thermal or Palm Springs. Classes may be scheduled during the day, evening or weekends.

Part-time faculty assignments are filled on an as needed basis utilizing this open and ongoing applicant pool. The number of available openings will vary from semester to semester. Candidates selected for the pool will be contacted by the division should a vacancy arise.


Starting Master degree lecture rate: $53.17/ Lab rate: $42.85
Starting Doctorate degree lecture rate: $55.96/ Lab rate: $45.11

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, or nutrition

    OR bachelor's degree in any of the above AND master's degree in public health, or any biological science OR the equivalent.

  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Desirable Experience:

  • Background in health education
  • Experience with patient medication/dosage calculations.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience in vocational nursing
