Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

KSU has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the NSA and DHS in 2004, 2007, 2012, 2015 and 2022. There are several security programs on campus with the need for qualified part-time faculty. The Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development is the home of the BS and MS in Cybersecurity and works closely with other departments to support security-related education.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development for the academic year 2022-2023. These positions are on an as needed basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Cybercrime, and related fields
  • Teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community
  • Academic and Career Advising

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree, or a foreign equivalent, in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Criminal Justice, or closely related discipline is required.
  • Applicants with a Criminal Justice degree should have at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in cybercrime and/or at least 5 years experience working in cybercrime/cybersecurity.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Cybersecurity/Information Security Certifications from (ISC)2, ISACA, GIAC, or EC-Council.
  • College-level teaching experience
  • Online teaching experience
