Position Summary:
The program coordinator is a full-time, classified position at Seattle Central College with two vacancies.

This position provides complex clerical support to the nursing program for faculty and student clinical facility onboarding and Clinical Passport requirements. This position also maintains the faculty and student files and provides information for prospective students. In addition to the clerical responsibilities, independent judgment and excellent customer service skills are required when conducting the job responsibilities. This position requires many daily interactions with students, faculty, administrators, and other staff while working in a positive, professional, culturally diverse environment.

Essential Functions:


Required Education, Experience & Abilities:
  • Ability to organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems and files
  • Excellent verbal, writing, grammar, editing, proofreading, and math skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to interact positively and professionally with students, faculty, and staff in a college setting
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to prioritize and address multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and changing work assignments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of computers with a variety of software and databases: Microsoft Outlook, Windows, and Excel; HP3000/HPUX and the SMS
  • Ability to record and transcribe meeting minutes
  • Ability to oversee/process requisitions for supplies and equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information accessed or discussed in performing the work of this position
