Distinguishing Career Features:
The Research Analyst is a professional position requiring a demonstrated ability to select, set up and execute research design, conduct advanced statistical analyses, develop assessment and evaluation tools, and present research reports that support decisions.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Masters Degree in a social, behavioral, educational or interdisciplinary field, plus one year of experience in instructional design, assessment, or institutional research. Alternatively the position may require a Bachelors degree in the same areas plus 5 years of progressive experience in research and decision support.

Salary/Fringe Benefits:
Grade 48 on District Classified Salary Schedule ($5,821-$7,018/month).

Health and welfare benefits include District contribution for medical/dental/vision benefits and employee life insurance ($50,000). (Cash in lieu option available on medical insurance.)

Participation in the Public Employees Retirement System and Social Security.

Conditions of Employment:
General Funded (2 positions): This is a full-time, 12-calendar month position. Hours of employment 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Categorically Funded (1 position): This is a full-time, 12-calendar month categorically funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon funding and the provisions of the CSEA collective bargaining agreement. Hours of employment 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Initial placement of employees on Classified Salary schedule is at Step 1. After six months of successful probationary employment, employee is placed at Step 2.

Employment is to be effective as soon as possible following completion of the selection process.

Individual who is offered employment shall be required to obtain fingerprints for a criminal history clearance through the State Department of Justice and remit the required fee for processing the fingerprints, produce an original social security card, and submit negative TB test results (must be within the past four years or within the last 60 days if not previously employed in a school district in California) before employment.

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and signing of loyalty oath per Government Codes 3100-3109.
