Senior Assistant Director - Athletics Communications

About the Opportunity

Summary:

Supervise daily athletic communications for all sport seasons. Support the Associate Athletic Director for Communications, PR & Broadcasting with coverage of all 16 intercollegiate sports through communications, marketing, video and creative content.

Responsibilities:

Create and manage an annual comprehensive social media plan to promote Northeastern student-athletes, coaches and athletics in all appropriate venues and that increases both public participation in, and local, state and national recognition of, Northeastern athletics. The successful candidate will be the primary supervisor for three-full time employees, one intern, co-ops and student workers, and help activate all communication and marketing plans within the department. Will work closely with the Associate AD for Communications on budget management and provide positive publicity for the department and the university and complete other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in leadership and supervisory role, and 5-7 years of experience in communications, marketing and graphic design.
