POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Job Developer reports to the Director of Career Planning and Internship Programs and will conduct Boston job market analysis, employer relations, and job development services for BHCC graduating students. Specific target programs include career placement outcomes for students graduating with degrees or certificates in Health Information Technology, Computer Networking, Support, Database, Security, Forensics, Pharmacy Tech, Sustainability, or additional certificates in the divisions of Professional Studies and Allied Health. The Job Developer will work collaboratively with the Director, career and internship staff, faculty, and grant personnel to implement a job development service system that supports both students and employers.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
• Increase job placement percentages of graduates from target programs.
• Develop and implement a targeted marketing plan to pursue new employers, generating interest through calls, social media, on-site visits, and active participation in relevant external events, community and professional groups.
• Manage and maintain an efficient, accurate database of screened job leads, applicants and student placement statistics.
• Identify opportunities to build relationships with target employers through posting jobs, recruiting on-campus, industry panels, special programs, or participation in BHCC Program Advisory Boards.
• Keep current on industry hiring and training trends; market BHCC students and act as an information resource to employers desiring to increase the diversity of their applicant pool.
• Consult with faculty on appropriate job placements for graduates.
• Leverage technology to meet student and employer needs in recruitment and placement; facilitate connections between employers and BHCC student organizations with similar interests.
• Leverage BHCC alumni base in support of expanded career opportunities for students.
• Analyze current and future labor market trends that affect target employment outcomes and collaborate with career and grant staff in developing a) strategies to respond and b) materials to guide students in exploration of career and educational pathways and job readiness.
• Provide information on business and industry employment trends by sector that would help BHCC revise existing academic programs or plan new programs to meet workforce demands.
• Assist in coordinating target program career fairs or onsite employer hiring sessions at BHCC.
• Work closely with career and grant staff to coordinate job referrals, career coaching, and support students through all stages of the job placement experience.
• Assist in developing strategies to increase ease and use of student reporting methods for job attainment.
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Government & Economic Affairs, Education or other field related to area of assignment; with a minimum of 3 years of experience in HR recruiting, community and corporate relations, business development, labor market studies, job/internship placement; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Strong knowledge of IT and business job market trends and evidence of relationship-building in these employer communities
• Proficiency in databases with attention to detail; ability to learn and master new internet-based recruiting and computer technologies
• Collaborative, self-directed, outcome oriented, and strong customer service presence
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, creative thinking, and communication skills
• Well-developed relationship management, project management, and research skills
• Ability to relate and understand the needs of a diverse faculty, staff and student population and work effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents

SALARY RANGE: $50,786.00 - $57,786.00 ACTUAL SALARY WILL BE COMMENSURATE WITH EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MCCC/MTA COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT. FULL STATE BENEFITS.
