Job Summary:

SUNY is partnering with the New York Public Library to provide currently enrolled SUNY students an internship opportunity in New York City to gain skills and hands-on experience this summer.

The internship will run from June through Early August. Intern may be scheduled for up to 35 hours a week based on the operational needs.

Interns will have the opportunity to work in one these departments with the New York Public Library- Communications, Exhibition Education, Adult English Language and Literacy, or Community Outreach and Engagement.

Job Duties:

Collaborate effectively as a member of a dynamic team.
Engage in various projects and associated activities, including writing, research, planning, and reporting.
Provide support to colleagues across different functions within the department.
Gain insight into how your department contributes to the library's overall mission and operations.

Requirements:
Required Education/Qualifications:

Must be a student currently enrolled at a participating SUNY campus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Motivated self-starter and team player
Experience with various computer applications
Interest in non-profits is a plus

Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role will be $22.00 an hour. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
