The Department of Communication is seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in communication with an emphasis in health communication. The new hire will teach in the undergraduate communication major and will be charged with developing new undergraduate courses and a concentration in health communication in line with the university's "HealthPath Forward" initiative. Additionally, applicants should be qualified to teach a broad range of communication courses such as Public Speaking, Communication Theory, Research Methods, and Small Group Communication.

The successful candidate will report to the head of the program who will determine course assignments each semester in consultation with the professor. Courses may be assigned on both the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, NJ and the Florham Campus in Madison, NJ.

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate education, teaching effectiveness, student welfare, scholarship, and service.

A PhD in communication or a related field is required.

Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
