Job Summary:
The position is responsible for supervising, managing, and advising student organizations; serving as the primary institutional authority for student clubs & organizations and members, while facilitating programs, activities, and events, including reviewing and revising external contracts, with authority to sign contracts up to $10,000. The position is tasked with assessing and mitigating institutional risks related to student organizations, ensuring compliance with university, local, state, and federal law, policies, and protocols. This role also includes overseeing student organization budgeting processes and managing relevant organization software platforms. The role involves leading recruitment efforts for over 150 student organizations, as well as utilizing data to assess and improve program effectiveness.

What You Will Do:
- Student Organization Supervision/Advising: Leads, oversees, and directs all functions and operations of student clubs & organizations, including development of student organization leaders & members, facilitation of student organization programs, activities, and events, maintenance of student organization software platforms, and determination, oversight, and execution of policies and practices student organization budgeting processes (responsibility of over $1,000,000 in Student Activities Funds).
- Student Organization Risk Assessment: Manages student clubs & organization risk assessment and compliance processes, including assessing, implementing, and interpreting institutional risk and liability as it relates to student organizations, including interpreting, implementing, and enforcing university, local, state, and federal law, policies, and protocols.
- Organization Recruitment: Directs, manages and supervises organization recruitment processes including conceptualizing, facilitating, and conducting all student organization recruitment outreach and programs for over 150 student organizations.
- Program Assessment: Leads assessment of organizational effectiveness and outcomes for 150+ student clubs & organizations, including creation of programmatic outcomes and strategic assessment plan, including collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to assess performance, trends, and outcomes, ensuring informed decision-making and continuous improvement in program effectiveness.
- Contracts: Serves as contract expert and signatory for the Student Affairs division. Reviews and revises external contracts, technical, production, and hospitality riders for CAP Center, FSA, and OEL (100+ contracts annually and $750,000 annual financial commitments); serves as institutional signatory for contracts up to $10,000.
- Student Media: Directs all daily operations of the college radio station, including scheduling broadcasts, maintaining studio equipment, and servicing as the campus authority for ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal broadcasting regulations.

Required:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Professional Work Experience: One year experience
Preferred, but not Required:
- Education: Master's Degree
- Professional Work Experience: Two or more years of experience
Knowledge Areas and Skills:
- Organizational and event planning skills: Conceptualizing and coordinating events, logistic management, risk management and mitigation, budget management, and time management
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Verbal and written, ability to build rapport with diverse population of students, conflict management and negotiation, meeting facilitation, active and empathetic listening skills
- Administrative and technological skills: Event and organization management software, standard office software such as Google Suite, financial software management tools such as Workday and Excel
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Identification and efficient resolution of problems, creative, outcome-oriented thinking and actions
- Student development theory: Knowledge of theory and best practices informed by college student development and student engagement theories

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
