Salary/Pay Range: $32,290.00 - $42,954.00 part time (0.75 FTE) annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Summary
Providing support to UCCS students, staff, and faculty by doing case-specific needs assessments and connecting them with on and off campus resources. This part time position primarily works collaboratively with Wellness center Mental Health Services (WCMHS) clinicians and UCCS CARE team members to get referrals. In addition, this position would take requests from UCCS staff and faculty when they might to consult about their circumstances, to connect them with the most appropriate resources.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Attending all CARE team meetings to become familiar with the cases that would benefit from support from the case manager, to connect them with on- and off-campus resources. Once the CARE team determines the student would benefit from the case manager's support (because the case has a significant mental health component), collaborate and coordinate with the Case Manager from the Dean of Students' Office, to provide the most thorough and effective support possible.
- Getting referrals from WCMHS clinicians (via, phone, TEAMS messages, e-mails, or Medicat messages), to research, find, and connect the best resources that are accessible for our students. These resources may be clinical in nature (e.g. student is graduating, so they need to find a community clinician they can work with, based on their insurance coverage, clinical needs, financial and transportation needs, etc.); or they may Request Form Note: This form is intended for use in Adobe Sign. Last updated 5/14/2025 be non-clinical (e.g. connecting the student with TESSA's legal team, or helping the student find a low-income housing option, etc.).
- Take self-referrals from UCCS staff and faculty (via, phone, TEAMS messages, and/or e-mails), determine the needs of the community member (carry out a needs assessment), and connect them with the appropriate resources and services in the community.
- Carrying out needs assessments for each individual case so that appropriate level of care is determined and planned. This may be carried out solo with interviews, or if there is a need for assessment of clinical mental health condition, in collaboration with the WCMHS clinicians who serve in the CARE team.
- If there is a need, helping students practice emotion regulation skills, basic assertiveness, and other interpersonal skills to be able to improve accessibility of resources.
- Once the referrals are made, follow up with each case to make sure the needs are met; if not, continue to work with the case until the established services and the resources start to benefit the individual.
- Collaborating with the WCMHS Director to do outreach and education to the entire campus community, both about available resources for various populations, and about the role of this position on campus.
- Provide training to all who are accepted into our Wellness Center training program with specific emphasis on providing training to social work students.

Qualifications
- Master's level formal education from a mental health related field is required.
- Highly qualified applicants will be fluent in Spanish and able to provide services to UCCS community in Spanish.
