What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The graduate research will focus on modeling systems for microwave heating by utilizing electromagnetic full-wave simulations alongside thermal simulations in the transient regime, in addition to considering materials that exhibit nonlinear behavior in response to temperature changes.

What We Require

BS in Physics and Mathematical Sciences, with a focus on full-wave EM simulations and microwave modeling of nonlinear systems. Accepted into the ECEE Graduate Program at UC Boulder for Fall 2025.

What You Will Need

Previous experience in Finite-Difference Time-Domain electromagnetic fields simulation, explicitly using the Quick Wave package; availability to be present in the lab during the summer for at least 20 hours per week.
