Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $20.00 Hourly
Maximum $22.00 Hourly

Job Summary
The Medical Anatomy Center (MAC) provides research projects and successful mentoring for 20-30 students per year as the first author presenting at conferences.

This position will provide support and expertise to maximize student project selection, data collection, finalizing abstract, submission process (conference and/or journal), professional poster construction and/or platform presentation, and ultimately manuscript publication. The primary responsibility is to coordinate between PI and student(s) on each individual research project to efficiently complete project(s) via tracking and monitoring progress to achieve deadlines enabling students to have the opportunities and experiences presenting at regional/national/international conferences. This position will ensure a streamlined approach to daily operations and assist with the day-to-day function of the MAC.

  7. Comfortable with using a computer and specialized software confidently. Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, InDesign-professional design software, photoshop, endnote, large poster printer software program (Canon, HP, etc.), etc.
  8. Confident using medical technology including Sectra-interactive touch screen device Able to understand basic point of care ultrasound (POCUS) terminology and able to acquire images from donor cadavers. Knowledge of mixed-reality headsets for medical procedures, sonoanatomy, and educational teaching/learning techniques.
  9. Demonstrates initiative. Shows willingness and aptitude to use own discretion in taking appropriate steps in finding solutions to problems; presents options and ideas to enhance current processes or procedures.
  10. Shows integrity, able to exhibit honesty, discretion, and sound judgment. Able to adhere to core values and ethics of WesternU and the MAC.
  11. Willing to work with others, collaborating and compromising where necessary.
  12. Demonstrates flexibility. Open to changing situations and opportunities and willing to perform assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in health sciences or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in health sciences or equivalent.
