Position Summary:
University Information Services (UIS) provides technical services and enterprise applications to the University of Colorado's (CU) four campuses and the Office of the President. UIS is committed to excellence in customer service, technical expertise, and the development of enterprise applications responsible for supporting CU's students, faculty, human resources employees, finance employees, and others.
The Senior Enterprise App Admin supports current PeopleSoft (PS) applications and technical systems for all University of Colorado campuses, which supports over 65,000 students and 35,000 faculty and staff. With minimal support, this position performs day-to-day PeopleSoft Administration related tasks and represent the Enterprise Apps Admins team on projects and initiatives.
This senior-level position installs, configures and maintains PeopleSoft development, test, and production environments for Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials and Grants, Portal, and Campus Solutions while also supporting system rollouts. This position serves as an experienced PeopleSoft Administrator and, as such, responds to and solves operational issues while effectively presenting with internal and external customers.
The Sr Enterprise App Admin is responsible for supporting the daily operations of specific PeopleSoft applications. Additionally, they must be able to learn and support DevOps tools and adopt standard processes focused on automation and security, which are currently implemented in the team.
This position reports to the Enterprise Application Admin Manager and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff system.

This role is eligible to work remotely within the United States, but preference will be given to applicants who live in Colorado or are willing to move to Colorado.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities
- Administers PeopleSoft system architecture for production, development, and test environments
- Install, upgrade, patch, and fix PeopleSoft applications and associated middleware, including Oracle WebLogic, Tuxedo, JDK, and Oracle database clients.
- Participates in PeopleSoft Application Performance testing sessions and analyze results of the test to solve performance related issues.
- Configure, manage & fix PeopleSoft Integration Broker Architecture
- Performance tune Oracle PeopleSoft Tuxedo Application servers, Oracle Weblogic servers, PeopleSoft process scheduler servers & OpenSearch clusters.
- Install, upgrade, patch & fix PeopleSoft Search Framework which includes OpenSearch, OpenSearch Dashboards & Logstash.
- Deploy PUM images, create change packages and apply using Change Assistant
- Setup & support windows terminal servers which include installing PeopleTools client and related software and fix them.
- Stay up to date with the latest PeopleSoft features and discuss with the team which features can be implemented to support Automation.
- Participate in trainings and leverage open-source learning methodologies to improve skills and learn new technologies used in the organization and team.
- Support technically sophisticated production and non-production environments; resolve daily issues and complex problems; responsible for configuring, patching, scripting, monitoring, data security, and all aspects of system health
- Work closely with Development, Infrastructure and database administration (DBA) teams to research and resolve performance issues
- Build and maintain MediaWiki Documentation for every task.
- Ensure protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential

Salary: The anticipated hiring range has been established at $95,000-$104,000.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Please ensure your resume includes any and all relevant experience to be accurately assessed against these qualifications. You must meet all minimum requirements listed at the time of application to be considered for this role.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis).
- Three (3) years' experience working with PeopleSoft applications, which includes:
- Serving as a PeopleSoft Administrator in technically complex environments running on Unix platform,
- Installing and configuring PeopleTools, PeopleSoft Application server, process scheduler server & WebServer using Oracle DPK
- Deploying PUM images on Linux VM and apply changing packages using PeopleSoft Change Assistant.
- Installing, patching & configuring Oracle WebLogic, Tuxedo & JDK manually as well as using Oracle DPK
- Configuring and performance tuning PeopleSoft Integration Broker & Single Sign On
- Installing, patching & configuring Elastic Search or OpenSearch
- Two (2) years' experience automating daily processes using Linux shell scripting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including part of a rotational on-call status, to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five (5) years' experience working with PeopleSoft applications, as indicated above.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Puppet
- Ansible
- Git
- Phire Migration Tool
- Serving as a PeopleSoft Admin for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Enterprise Portal
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft 2-tier, 3-tier, and N-tier architecture.
- Proficiency with Oracle DPK
- Expertise in Oracle Fusion Middleware, including WebLogic, JDK, and Tuxedo.
- Strong proficiency in performance tuning for PIA, Application Server, and Process Scheduler Server.
- Advanced skills in configuring and optimizing Integration Broker for seamless system integration.
- Expert in deploying PUM images on Linux VMs. Create Change packages and apply via PeopleSoft Change Assistant.
- Hands-on experience with OpenSearch, OpenSearch Dashboards, and Logstash, including installation, configuration, and issue resolution.
- Advanced issue resolution, root cause analysis, and performance tuning skills.
- Proficiency in automation technologies such as but not limited to Python, Shell scripting, and Puppet.
- Solid understanding of PeopleSoft administration processes and standard methodologies.
- Knowledge of IT security standard processes related to technical environments and data management.
- Strong documentation skills, with experience in creating technical documentation and process guides.
- Superb communication skills (oral, written, and listening), with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and accurately.
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with team members and leadership on technical discussions and strategy.
- Self-motivated and proactive, capable of taking initiative in daily tasks and special projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a great teammate in achieving organizational goals.
