Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire an

Artist in Residence
position. This is a part-time, faculty, non-union, non-exempt, and non benefits-eligible position. We are interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and candidates that may be from a less traditional background. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Be available in the job performance schedule to support and/or attend acting classes, mainstage production classes, student performance showcase classes, and/or technical theatre classes.

2. Participate in the function of classes listed above.

3. Provide other support for classes as determined by the instructor.

4. Serve as a peer mentor by:
A. directing students to resourcesB. answering applicable questionsC. providing guidance and feedback for student assignments and project selectionD. aiding students in creating performance materialE. maintaining a positive, professional and collegial mannerF. cultivating a positive professional atmosphere

AUXILIARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain and ensure that department equipment and building use policies are followed.
  • Represent the theatre program and the college in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.


Qualifications



MINIMUM/MANDATORY EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Successful completion of multiple classes within the CCC Theatre Arts Department, or equivalent, and a clear understanding of our production process.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Successful completion of all CCC theatre courses with a minimum of two years involvement in the production/program

and
additional theatre experience beyond CCC's program.

Terms of Employment

  • All positions at CCC are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college and requires a flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

  • CCC employees must reside within 50 miles of Oregon City, Harmony or Wilsonville campus as a condition of employment.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States must be provided if selected for hire.
