Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with remote work flexibility after probationary period. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

- Advanced Degree: A master's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional Certifications: Certifications such as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or SHRM-SCP are highly desirable.
- Experience in Higher Education: Demonstrated experience in human resources or employee relations within a higher education setting, particularly in a community college environment, is advantageous.
Knowledge & Skills
- Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Title IX, Title V, Equal Employment Opportunity laws, and collective bargaining processes.
- Labor Relations Expertise: Proven ability to manage labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievance handling, and dispute resolution.
- Performance Management: Experience in developing and implementing performance management systems that are equitable and legally compliant.
- Classification & Compensation Systems: Knowledge of job classification and compensation structures, with the ability to ensure consistency and equity across the district.
- Professional Development Programs: Experience in designing and leading professional development initiatives that promote leadership, succession planning, and inclusive career advancement.
Leadership & Communication
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to lead and manage multiple complex programs and initiatives, aligning them with the district's mission and goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

Conditions of Employment: SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT:
- Submit "official" college transcripts as stated on application (even if a degree is not a requirement for this position);
- Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment);
- Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the District's expense (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment);
- Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States as required by the I9 Employment Eligibility Verification form;
- Attend a new hire processing appointment in People, Culture, and Technology Services located at the District Administrative Offices; AND,
- Employed on an initial contract of two (2) years that is eligible for renewal annually for up to a subsequent two-year period.
EMPLOYMENT AFTER RETIREMENT
