Position Description

The Redhawk Ambassador serves as the enthusiastic face of Seattle University Athletics, creating exceptional NCAA Division I guest experiences at select athletic events. This part-time, event-based role combines guest services with light security duties, perfect for outgoing community members who bleed Redhawk red and want to be part of something bigger.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist guests with genuine enthusiasm and institutional pride.
  • Provide directions, information, and support throughout events.
  • Monitor crowd behavior and enforce venue policies in a friendly manner.
  • Engage fans to enhance their game day experience and build lasting connections.
  • Coordinate with event staff and contracted security as needed.
  • Represent Seattle University with pride and professionalism as part of our ambassador community.

Qualifications

  • Outgoing personality with excellent people skills and life experience.
  • Genuine passion for Seattle University and Redhawk athletics.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in busy environments.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Availability for evenings and weekends - 3-4 hours/event, 2-6 events/month.

Compensation at a Glance

Hourly Salary Range: $22.00 - $22.50 per hour.

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.
