Job Summary:
Join the dedicated team in Enrollment Services at Eastern Washington University as a Regional Admissions Advisor - Transfer. This vital role supports EWUs commitment to fostering student success by guiding prospective students through their process of selecting and enrolling in university courses. As a Regional Admissions Advisor you will play a key part in empowering students to build academic plans that pave the way for a successful EWU experience, and confidently pursue their degree goals. The Office of Admissions at EWU strives to meet undergraduate freshmen and transfer enrollment goals that reflect Eastern Washington Universitys of providing an inclusive, equitable, and transformative learning experience, driving the pursuit of knowledge with affordable academic excellence.
The Regional Admissions Advisor will be responsible for recruiting prospective students for Eastern Washington University through territory management, travel, prospective student communication, admissions presentations, and file review. Transfer recruiting territory consists of yet not limited to Clark, Cowlitz, Clallam, Lewis, Pacific, Skamania, Pierce, King, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson, Kitsap, Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, Whakiakum, and Whatcom Counties.
A successful candidate for the Regional Admissions Advisor - Transfer position should be passionate about helping people and fulfilling their needs in the moment, be able to maintain a detailed and up-to-date understanding of assigned programs and responsibilities, demonstrate a positive attitude toward work assignments, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The salary for this position is $42,583 (minimum) up to $51,098. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and disability insurance and retirement. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Two (2) or more years of work experience in admissions, recruitment, or student advising;
- Ability to participate in evening and weekend events and multi-day recruitment trips, which will require a valid Drivers License and clean driving record;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, pay attention to detail, and produce desired results;
- Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly, and effective manner both orally and in writing;
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding transfer admission and records management;
- Ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated team;
- Advanced computer skills to include: Microsoft Office Suite and SCT Banner (or equivalent); proficient user of a laptop computer, projector, and cell phone; two years increasingly responsible office experience;
- Position will require extensive sitting and walking; selected candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs. involving recruiting materials.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public.

- Demonstrated ability to manage programs from planning through implementation to completion;

Job Duties:
Participate in a comprehensive student recruitment and admissions program; communicate the educational opportunities available at EWU to prospective students, community colleges, parents, alumni, and other groups who might benefit. Coordinate recruitment and outreach utilizing best practices in territory management which includes the following tasks:
- Develop methods and strategies for recruiting transfer students to EWU;
- Coordinate recruitment activities with & participation of other departments, faculty, student services, enrollment management, etc.;
- Conduct recruitment visits to community colleges, community-based organizations, and other recruitment venues;
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with guidance counselors, community-based organizations and agencies, and other key influencers;
- Maintain contact with prospective students, school personnel, families, etc.; making referrals as necessary given the specific needs of students;
- Advise prospective students, school personnel and families on processes and policies relating to application, admissions, financial aid, transfer credit, and academics.
Provide operational project management, which includes the following tasks:
- Develop strategies and approaches for accomplishing programmatic goals and objectives;
- Advise supervisor on issues and concerns of transfer students or of academic departments;
- Analyze data and assessment of transfer programs and projects;
- Develop reports and proposals to enhance program development;
- Represent EWU at conferences and other professional events and participate in professional networks, organizations, and activities;
- Develop and implement innovative yield and outreach events for transfer students;
- Analyze recruiting strategies and activities and preparation of reports as required.
Provide processing and administrative support to records management operations within the Office of Admissions which includes the following tasks:
- Advise students and key influencers on admission and financial aid status and processes;
- Maintain knowledge of current transfer practices and policies;
- Verify new student credentials adhering to University admissions policies;
- Verify student admission applications to determine their ability to succeed using research-based assessment tools;
- Analysis of structure, process, and technology for continuous improvement;
- Maintain technological skills necessary for file review, student communication, and admissions processing;
- Weekly review of transfer applications;
- Be knowledgeable about transfer policies and articulation agreements;
- Interpret WSAC, NACAC, and ICRC policies in making admissions decisions;
- Utilize national best practices related to holistic admissions review.

Position requires proof of insurance and a valid drivers license. A WA State leased vehicle will be provided for completing work duties. Any mileage incidentally incurred on a personal vehicle for completion of job duties will be reimbursed at the approved state rates.
Ability to be flexible regarding travel and working non-traditional hours when necessary, including travel within territory, away from Regional office (including evenings and weekend events and multi-day trips).
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
