Position Overview:
Massasoit Community College has received funding from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to expand its HVAC program with a focus on Heat Pump Training. The Program Support Specialist - HVAC provides administrative, instructional, and outreach support for the HVAC program. Working under the direction of the Program Coordinator and instructional staff, this part-time role assists with curriculum preparation, student recruitment, and program organization to ensure smooth operations and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist instructional staff with preparation of course materials, handouts, and classroom resources.
Support student recruitment efforts, including outreach, scheduling information sessions, and responding to inquiries.
Provide organizational support for classes, workshops, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and communications.
Help track student attendance, progress, and program participation records.
Assist with marketing and outreach activities to promote program visibility.
Provide administrative support to the Program Coordinator, including document preparation, data entry, and reporting.
Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment for students.

Job Requirements:

Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and instructional staff.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; comfort with online learning tools a plus.

Preferred:

Associate degree or equivalent experience; background in education, office administration, or technical training support preferred.
Prior experience in education, workforce development, or HVAC/trades-related environments desirable.

Additional Information:
Position Status: This is a grant-funded position supported from June 2025 through December 2027. Position will conclude upon the completion of the grant.

Hours: 8 hours/week - 30 weeks (approximately 240 hours total) Jan 2026-Dec 2026

Salary: $35.31 per hour

Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites and additional locations as necessary.
