Work Schedule: up to 20 hours a week Fall, Spring & Summer

SALARY: $16.80/hr., non-benefited

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Student Ambassadors serve as a key information source for incoming and current students to North Shore Community College. As part of a team, each Student Ambassador will present information on a variety of topics at live/virtual events and assist students in attendance with their questions/concerns about their experience at NSCC. Student Ambassadors will participate in training activities on a variety of topics. The Student Ambassador Team will also take turns attending registration related activities to provide event logistical support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Serve as a resource for current and prospective students.
Assist with on-campus visits and give campus tours at the Danvers and/or Lynn Campus.
Serve as a front desk assistant at campus/virtual enrollment centers as scheduled/needed.
Call and text new and prospective students to invite them for campus visits and answer questions about attending NSCC.
Facilitate and assist with Admissions related events such as open houses, application, completion and registration events.
Attend student ambassador training sessions and meetings.
Work with various campus departments as needed.
Serve a year-long commitment- Fall, Spring & Summer Semesters.

Job Requirements:

Be enthusiastic, driven, creative, and friendly.
Possess excellent written, interpersonal, and group communication skills.
Positively represent the college.
Be sensitive to the needs of current and prospective students.
Work well with in a team environment
Enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours in both the Fall and Spring semester.
Have an unweighted 2.0 grade point average from their most recent institution (high school, transferring from another college, etc.). Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA at NSCC.
Must be in good disciplinary standing with the College.
Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
