Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under supervision provide organizational and clerical support to the Employee Development (EDC). Support the Director, Training and Development and work with the EDC team in operational aspects on programs provided by the department.

  • Serve as receptionist for the EDC, assisting employees in person, via email and by telephone.
  • Set up and manage events, sessions and reporting in employee LMS as requested by EDC team or EDC partners.
  • Process enrollment registrations, monitor wait lists, maintain employee training records in the EDC and Colleague systems.
  • Respond to employee requests and questions regarding elements of EDC programs.
  • Provide organizational and clerical support for EDC program activities such as room procurement, room set-up, food ordering, material creation and set-up and facilitator support.
  • Maintain results and provide program data as requested.
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory of EDC materials, books, office supplies and equipment, communicating to team when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Record and distribute messages; receive, open, sort and distribute mail.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • High school graduate plus college level technical courses in office or related careers required.
      • Associates degree including office technology courses preferred.
    • Experience
      • Exhibit proficient verbal and written communication skills in the English language required.
      • Two to four (2-4) years experience with MS Office, Excel, database entry, clerical and customer service experience in an office environment required.
      • Experience in Colleague and Blackboard preferred.


    Working Conditions:

  • PC, scanner, copier, multi-line telephone, printer, calculator, FAX, voicemail and email.
  • 40 hours per week during daytime hours.
  • Contact with the public that involves work interruptions during peak periods.
  • Must be willing to come in early or stay late occasionally to troubleshoot last minute problems with workshops or to cover hours.
  • Must be very well organized and self-directed.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.

    Hiring Range:
    6 Hourly/Starting salary beginning at $20.14, based on experience and education.

    Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
