Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for an Employee Wellness Events and Outreach Coordinator! This role oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of events and programs supporting the health and wellness of staff and faculty. This role focuses on creating engaging and evidence-based initiatives, including workshops, events, and challenges as a way to engage employees and promote comprehensive health. The coordinator works closely with internal departments and external partners to cultivate a culture of well-being that aligns with the university's mission and values.

Employee Health & Well-Being (EHWB) provides resources, services and education across the dimensions of wellness to empower faculty and staff, allowing them to thrive. To support faculty and staff individually and professionally, we are investing in new programs, resources and partnerships to empower individuals and transform workplaces. We provide many resources and tools to help employees stay healthy, take control of their finances, or seek support for mental health at work and beyond.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Program Development and Coordination
  • Organize signature employee wellness events and regular programs and activities. Coordinate program logistics including schedules, materials, venues, catering, speakers/educators, registration, communication with participants, and other key details.
  • Develop annual wellness programming calendar, in coordination with the EHWB units, that incorporates seasonal themes, campus priorities, and employee feedback; topics may include physical fitness, work/life balance, mental health, and more.
  • Partner with EHWB departments and other campus units, such as Faculty Affairs, Human Resources, CALM Center, Faculty & Staff Assistance Program, and others to deliver programming and outreach.
  • Engage employees by developing creative strategies to increase participation and build awareness of available resources.
  • Support EHWB presentations and outreach requests.
Collaboration and Administration
  • Support wellness-related committees, task forces, and employee resource groups as needed.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenditures, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Build and manage relationships with local community organizations, health providers, and vendors.
  • Liaise with marketing and communications representatives.
Assessment and Reporting
  • Collect and analyze participation data, feedback, and outcomes to measure program effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership to demonstrate impact and recommend improvements.
  • Stay current with standard processes and trends in workplace health promotion and higher education well-being.


What You Should Know

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional nights and weekends required as needed. The position works under a hybrid work modality, and is in the office an average of 2-3 days per week.

What We Can Offer

The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $54,080 annually.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and relevant experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • 1 year experience in one or more of the following: Public speaking/presenting to small and large groups of people, experience planning and delivering events, budget management experience, or administrative tasks such as communication and scheduling.

  • High attention to detail across all mediums of communication and logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on the employee experience while managing concurrent tasks and multiple key partners.
  • Desire to continually improve, seek information and look for new approaches to processes and practices.
  • Ability to collaborate and form relationships across campus.
  • Emphasis on creating a welcoming environment that improves the success of all staff and faculty.
  • Ability to build partnerships and work well with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Computer skills including software (Microsoft 365 apps including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams or similar), email communication tools, and web-based applications.
