ATHLETICS ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (Administrative Support Coordinator I)

Working independently, under general supervision, the Administrative Support Coordinator provides administrative support for the Intercollegiate Athletics Department including the Director of Athletics, Associate Director of Athletics, Athletics Advancement Officer, Athletics Marketing Coordinator, Athletics Compliance Coordinator, and 12 Head Coaches. This is a busy environment, primary responsibilities include coordination of in-state, and out-of-state travel, with multiple funding sources, including complex team travel for 13 sports teams, as well as individual travel for all staff. Each sports team travels an average of 8 times per season. Additional responsibilities include coordinating scholarships and awards banquet. Incumbent will receive lead direction from the department's Administrative Analyst/Specialist.

This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.Special Requirements:

Incumbent/applicant will need to be able to perform the essential job functions (duties) of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. This position alternates between remaining in a stationary position operating a personal computer for long periods of time and frequently moving about inside the office. Must be able to travel across campus to other offices and buildings for meetings and events.
Fast-paced open office environment operating standard office equipment. Frequent interaction with public, faculty and students. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special events.
