The College of Education and Human Development at Lamar University, Department of Counseling and Special Populations invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Counseling. The Counseling Program offers the M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and in School Counseling. Responsibilities include teaching graduate level courses in the program, supervision of practicum, maintaining a research agenda and scholarly activities, advisement, and other functions necessary for excellence in counselor education.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in the discipline, Counselor Education, is required. In addition to counseling and/or clinical experience, a record demonstrating excellence in teaching is expected. It is highly desirable that applicants possess (or be eligible for) State of Texas LPC or School Counselor Certification. Collaboration with university faculty and staff and P-12 schools and educators as well as involvement in professional organizations are expected. Preference given to prior experience with online teaching and to individuals having school counseling experience. Rank and salary commensurate with experience level.
