College/Department Information
The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary
Develop and maintain standard reports for all lanes of funding between MCG and AUHS via CAPSA/REPSA agreements. Reconcile budgets on a monthly basis to ensure MCG is following contractual obligations with AUHS. Utilize said reporting to monitor expenditures compared to latest approved CAPSA/REPSA agreements. Review data and ensure expenditures in PeopleSoft does not exceed the documented agreements. Assist the Manager of MCG Financial Operations with handling day-to-day financial transactions that impact MCG as well as budget creation and reconciliation.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain standard reports for all lanes of funding between MCG and AUHS via the CAPSA/REPSA agreements. This will include but not limited to the Professional Services Agreement (PSA), GME, Outside Contracting, MAS, numerous REPSA exhibits, Missions funding & state-allocated dollars utilizing all systems needed to collect and report data (PeopleSoft, Strata, CPSC, etc.) The target audience is MCG and AUHS administrators. Under direction from the Manager of MCG Financial Operations, develop reports and processes to advance the monitoring capabilities for the funds flow between AUHS and MCG. Collaborate with AUHS Finance team to gain efficiencies.

Monitor and balance PeopleSoft budget/expenses to ensure departments are not able to expend more than the departments allocations and/or income generated through the funds flow in PeopleSoft financials. Work with clinical department leadership to submit PeopleSoft budget adjustments as needed to align with the funds flow agreements. Review and monitor payroll distributions to ensure they align with the exhibit data. The CAPSA and REPSA agreements include reporting and monitoring of ~$200 million. Monitoring budgets and reconciling expenses on a monthly basis is a critical function to ensure MCG stays within the contractual agreements.

Assist with maintaining annual and ongoing CAPSA and REPSA exhibit updates. This includes assisting with the creation of the Board approved agreements every fiscal year and making amendments where necessary.

Assist Manager of MCG Financial Operations with database management on an ad hoc basis. Current financial databases operated by MCG Dean's Office include faculty information database, Professional Services Agreement wRVU income/expense database, PeopleSoft department ID database and fund source/account databases.

Assist Manager of MCG Financial Operations with day-to-day financial duties relating to both MCG and GCC. Duties include reviewing/approving budget amendments, funding distribution ePARs, payroll/NPS cost transfers, negative budget corrections and reconciliations.

Assist Manager of MCG Financial Operations with MCG/GCC Original Budget development each fiscal year. Duties include validating CAPSA/REPSA exhibit budgets align with signed contracts and reconciling MCG state appropriations/tuition/expansion/SFI budgets to allocated budgets from the AU Budget Office.

Other duties as assigned as urgent needs arise.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field with 2+ years relevant experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a business field (accounting, finance, management, economics, etc).

Preferred Experience
-Experience in an academic or hospital/clinical environment.
-Institutional knowledge or experience in higher learning.
-Practical experience with PeopleSoft HRMS and PeopleSoft Financials.
-Familiarity with AU policies and procedures.
-Exposure to AUHS revenue and expenditure accounting functions.

Established knowledge of industry standards related to physician reimbursement and clinical productivity measurement.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)

Pay Grade: 17

Salary: $44,967/annually - $60,705/annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
