California State University, Dominguez Hills, was established in 1960 and is one of the 23 campuses that comprise The California State University system. CSU Dominguez Hills is an urban, comprehensive public university that serves a culturally rich, diverse student body of over 12,500 students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Located on a 346-acre site in the South Bay portion of the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area, CSU Dominguez Hills has a highly pluralistic student body, which includes a significant number of non-traditional, working adult students as well as approximately 2,000 students enrolled in distance learning programs statewide. Conditions of Employment:

The person holding this position is considered a `mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

Possession of a valid Driver's License is required. Employees in this position will be enrolled in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Government Employer Pull Notice Program which confirms possession of a valid driver's license and reflects driving record.

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Position Information:

This is a full-time, permanent (probationary) position.

Special Working Conditions: Incumbent must have ability to travel in and out of the state to quality-related conferences and meeting to promote the program to potential students and identify potential faculty members

Department: College of Extended and International Education

The College of Extended and International Education extend the University into the community through both self-supported and state-supported, market responsive, educational programs and services which transmit university-based knowledge and skills. The College coordinates international offerings and study abroad programs. The College provides the University with opportunities for faculty development, experimentation in curriculum, and development of new instructional delivery systems. College offerings may be nontraditional in subject matter, format, instructional mode, location and time. Program areas include Winter and Spring Intersessions and other Special Sessions; Open University; Credit and Noncredit Extension; Certificate Programs; Center for Training and Development; Travel/Study; and American Language and Culture Program and Study

Major Job Duties:
Under the general direction of the Dean of CEIE, the incumbent is responsible for the program planning and development, implementation, and administration of the Quality Assurance Undergraduate and Graduate (BSQA and MSQA) programs. The incumbent will assess program structure and courses for on-going improvements to the quality and viability of the program, create strategies for the development of the programs and provide analysis to College of Extended Education leadership team including, but not limited to: outreach, course management, revenue and expense projection and reconciliation. In addition, the incumbent will partner with Admission and render admission decisions each term. The position will serve as the primary contact for the program for the campus as well as the local and national community, and represent the program at in and out-of-state conferences and meetings in order to promote the program to prospective students, organizations and identify potential faculty members.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and perform ongoing program evaluation - Knowledge of quality assurance principles, guidelines and tools such as Six Sigma, etc. - Knowledge of running an online credential program.
- General knowledge of ISO standards
- Ability to develop a program and determine needs
- Ability to administer and a degree program (curriculum, scheduling, advising, etc.)
- Ability to track student progression and identify trends
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft and other computer systems.
- Ability to develop unit budget and assess cost
- Ability to analyze finances and data to recommend pricing and course offerings
- Ability to adhere to CSU, CSUDH and CEIE policies and procedures in the administration of the BSQA and MSQA program.
- Ability to speak effectively with individuals or groups regarding the University and its policies, procedures and processes
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum Requirements:

Required Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with courses in adult education and curriculum planning.

Master degree in Materials Science, Statistics, Quality Management, Engineering, Ed.D. or related field or Doctorate degree is preferred.
Required Experience: Equivalent to three years of experience in planning classes and curriculum for higher or extended education programs and including developing resources, budgets, marketing plans and liaison with the community.

5-7 years of experience with quality assurance programs is preferred.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this classification is: $5,351 - $7,633 monthly. Placement within the salary range is commensurate with experience.
