Title: Assistant Campus Director, Southeast Campus
POSITION SUMMARY
Assists the Director in the daily operation of the Southeast Campus and manages all aspects of the campus' Welcome and Tutoring Centers, ensuring both centers provide the appropriate resources related to student enrollment and academic support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages routine services essential to operation of the Southeast Campus Welcome Center. Provides student services pertinent to recruitment, enrollment, registration, advisement, retention. Manages Welcome Center support staff and Tutoring Center tutors. Supervises work study students.
Develops campus operating procedures for both the Southeast Campus Welcome Center and Tutoring Center. Serves as a liaison between the Southeast Campus Tutoring Center and the main campus Learning Center. Stays abreast of current tutoring models, theories and practices and incorporates new and emerging trends into the Southeast Campus Tutoring Center operation. Plans and hosts student life activities and events on campus
Maintains the operating budget for the Southeast Campus Tutoring Center. Manages the transactional and reconciliation functions of the campus Bursar's office, including cashiering, maintaining monthly accounts, petty cash and completion of associated processes and records. In the absence of the Campus Director, acts as the Campus Director. Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, business or related field
Two years' experience providing student support services, such as student advising, tutoring, assessing learning disabilities or developing student success workshops.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in higher education, specifically with learning center and/or tutoring center models
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Understanding of community college students in an urban setting. Ability to manage a budget. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and student management programs. Aptitude for analyzing student data for reporting purposes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the general public, students, faculty and staff. Aptitude for interpreting student questions/requests in order to refer or respond appropriately.

Rate of Pay: $56,702 - $70,877 depending on experience
