Job Description:
Purchase College seeks applications for a three-quarter time Assessment Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment. The Assessment Analyst supports institutional effectiveness functions related to planning, assessment, and evaluation of the work in support of student services and engagement. The Assessment Analyst will support an evidence-based culture of improvement with clearly articulated goals and intended outcomes with well-established metrics and milestone markers. The Assessment Analyst is responsible for coordinating and supporting the annual assessment process, utilizing assessment technology that supports the gathering, comprehending and analysis of student learning and programmatic data; training stakeholders in the platform; and developing meaningful reports to inform progress and future actions. In addition, this position supports campus survey administration, as well as the analysis and visualization of survey data.

Job Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Under the guidance of the Director, manages the annual outcomes assessment process.
  • Works with campus departments to review, evaluate, write, and complete annual outcomes assessment, including learning outcomes, program outcomes, and administrative outcomes.
  • Assists in the coordination of assessment training activities.
  • Handles the administration of campus-wide surveys, and gathers both qualitative and quantitative data for analysis to support unit, sector and institutional goals.
  • Designs reports and presentations to share assessment results across the sector and campus.
  • Maintains the confidentiality and security of all institutional and system data.
  • Participates in meetings and task forces as appropriate.



Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required though a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of SPSS software.
  • Minimum two years' experience in educational technology and/or data management or analysis.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and leverage strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Understanding of academic assessment and research processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Learning Management Systems (preferably D2L Brightspace).

Additional Information:
Compensation for this position: This is a part-time position (.75 FTE). The compensation for this role is between $45,000 and $50,000 and is reflective of the part-time status. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
