Requirements
The O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law was established in 2007 through the generous philanthropy of Linda and Timothy O'Neill to respond to the need for innovative solutions to the most pressing global health concerns. In bringing together experts from both the public health and legal fields, the O'Neill Institute reflects the importance of public and private law in health policy analysis. Housed at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., the O'Neill Institute draws upon Georgetown's considerable intellectual resources, including the School of Nursing and Health Studies, the School of Medicine, the McCourt School of Public Policy, and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics.
The Executive Assistant will provide proactive and highly organized administrative support to the co-faculty director, playing a key role in the success of faculty projects and the achievement of the Institute's overall goals. This position requires an individual capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring effective communication, and coordinating seamless logistical operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Administrative Support.
- Project Management.
- Calendar and Contact Management.
- Request Management.
- Event and Travel Logistics.
- Financial Support.
- Document Support.
Work Interactions
The Executive Assistant works closely with the co-faculty director to support a wide range of administrative and operational tasks that are crucial to the success of faculty projects and Institute goals. This position plays a pivotal role in managing communications, schedules, and logistics, directly influencing the smooth flow of work across various teams and departments. The Executive Assistant collaborates with internal stakeholders, including faculty, finance, and administrative teams, to ensure alignment on key initiatives and timely completion of projects. Additionally, this role interacts with external stakeholders, such as government leaders and media representatives, ensuring that the co-faculty director is well-prepared for meetings and events. The Executive Assistant reports directly to the co-faculty director and does not have any direct reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience required (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with modest supervision
- Exceptional communication skills and experience engaging with partners across levels, including senior university leadership, government partners, judges, donors, and VIPs
- Extraordinary attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent sound judgment and discernment. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team and to interact successfully with a variety of personalities
- Professionalism and flexibility amid competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-need and results-driven environment
- Talent for managing information, contacts, calendars, booking travel, and meeting and event planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an executive assistant or in other support position
- Experience in working in a non-profit and/or multicultural setting, such as a global health-focused organization, is a plus
- Passion for being in a mission-driven work environment

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$66,783.00 - $126,720.23
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
