(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Responsible for the overall management and operation of the Clean Room. Oversees scheduling usage, daily operations, ensuring the safe use of equipment, and coordinating maintenance with vendors. Ensures that all activities in the Clean Room comply with safety standards and cleanliness protocols, while maintaining effective communication with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Manages the scheduling of Clean Room access for various teams, ensuring optimal use of resources and avoiding conflicts
2. Communicates effectively with teams to maintain a clear and efficient usage schedule
3. Monitors and manages Clean Room capacity to ensure compliance with usage limits
4. Collaborates closely with researchers and leads complex projects requiring customized solutions within the research core
5. Supervises Clean Room activities and ensures that operational protocols are followed
6. Provides training and guidance to users on proper Clean Room procedures and protocols
7. Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for scheduled tasks
8. Ensures all equipment and processes in the Clean Room are operated in accordance with safety and regulatory standards
9. Implements and monitors safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
10. Conducts regular inspections and audits of the Clean Room to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards
11. Manages vendor relationships, ensuring timely response and service for all Clean Room equipment
12. Maintains accurate logs of Clean Room usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks
13. Generates reports on Clean Room performance, usage trends, and compliance for internal review
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Required Experience
Three (3) years of experience managing Clean Room operations, laboratory environments, or similar facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certification in lab safety (Certified Chemical Hygiene Officer or Associate Safety Professional or equivalent)
Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or related credentials
Certification in Lab Management from an accredited organization (ASTM, ALMA, or equivalent)
Familiarity with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Experience with budgeting and financial management
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with Clean Room equipment and protocols, as well as current safety and regulatory requirements
Experience in coordinating with external vendors for maintenance and service requirements
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
